There appears to be an common issue affecting many if not all third party applications for the iPhone, iPhone 3G, and iPod Touch. The symptom is that an application will crash shortly after it is launched. Which application is going to exhibit this problem appears to be random- an application that worked fine yesterday may cease to launch today, or a newly purchased app may not be able to launch the first time. This is issue appears to be due to a problem within the iPhone/iPod Touch 2.0 software or possibly within iTunes 7.7 related to the way DRM is being handled. A very large number of developers have been working with each other as well as Apple to try to figure out what is going on and come up with a solution.
The good news is that, since this appears to be a DRM problem, we pretty much just need to refresh the application on the device.
